We are organized to receive groups composed of 5 to 8 hunters. We offer up to 5 drives per day with a daily bag ranging from 200 to 500 partridges, depending on our clients' wishes, addressed in advance. Our experienced hunting team was all trained the Spanish way and is aware of all the necessary security procedures. Our beaters have years of experience and are leaded by our successful beating chief. During the drives, each hunter is assisted by a "secretario", in charge of accurately counting dead and wounded partridges, in agreement with the hunter; and a loader, trained to cautiously load the hunter's two guns. The final score is entirely based on the count made by each secretario at the end of each drive.
We welcome our guests, hunters and their companions, with an energizing traditionally Moroccan breakfast. A picnic is served in the middle of the drives in order for the hunters to rest and enjoy the beauty of nature around a snack. After the hunt, an exquisite traditional lunch is served in a Moroccan caidal tent, or under the sun, depending on our clients' wishes and the weather.
Please notice that we do not offer alcohol; therefore, if you want it to be served to you, bring your own or buy it from the place where you will be staying (see"Accommodations").
For hunters who like to hunt and walk, we also offer to hunt partridges the "walk up" way, assisted by a personal beater and a dog. It is a very pleasant hunt in which hunters can take their time enjoying the beauty of the flora and amazing landscapes, while walking around the territory. In this shooting day is included a typically Moroccan breakfast upon arrival of hunters, and a traditional lunch at the end of the hunt. This shoot is also a way to permit hunters to alternate between the driven and the walk up partridges hunt, distributed along two or three days.
Morocco is approximately only 3 hours from most European capitals. In HAJAL ATLAS, we are allowed to hunt partridges from October to March. Abdelmalek LARAICHI and Carlos RUA found the perfect spot in the Tizi-n-test, a mountain pass in the Moroccan High Atlas, between Taroudant and Marrakech. Exactly 65 km from Taroudant, this site of 3000 ha extendable, called Chafarni, offers amazing scenery. The flora, composed of argan trees, Aleppo pines, asphodels, and a variety of other plants, combined with the mountain topography, make it the perfect natural environment for Barbary partridges. Chafarni is a sanctuary for many other animal species such as Cuvier's gazelles (protected), wild boars, foxes and weasels.
On average, during the hunting season, the temperature varies from 27 degrees in October to 10 degrees in January, with chilly late nights and early mornings. In addition, October and March are the warmest months of the season. However, bring warm clothes and raincoats with you, just in case.
