HAJAL ATLAS was founded in 2007 as the first authentic driven partridge shoot in Morocco. HAJAL means partridge in Arabic(حجل); and ATLAS is a mountain range passing through Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia.

This company saw the light through the vision of a hunting lover, Abdelmalek LARAICHI, Former president of the Hunting Promoters Association in Morocco, with a 50 years experience in the hunting business. He was even involved in the elaboration of the first laws concerning hunting tourism in Morocco, which displays a glimpse of our experience in HAJAL ATLAS. This gentleman simply made a living out of his passion. He had a revelation nearly 20 years ago during a driven partridge shoot in Spain, country historically known to be the worldwide reference in this field, along with England. He thought: "I am sure the exact same hunt can be made in Morocco". And from this day an idea started to grow in his mind.

Years later, he partnered with Carlos RUA, a prominent Spanish hunting promoter, and together, they gave birth to HAJAL ATLAS. All the expertise and know-how imported from Spain thanks to Carlos RUA, combined to a breathtaking territory located in the mountains of the High Atlas, chosen meticulously by the two partners, helped develop a unique hunting experience. Since then, HAJAL ATLAS has had nothing to envy to the best Spanish driven partridge shoots, nor to any others in the world.

In HAJAL ATLAS, being environmentally friendly is fundamental, and even more in the hunting industry. We are very careful and tight on the welfare of partridges and other animals' populations living on our territory (gazelles and wild boars for example), as well as the local flora (Argan trees for example). Protecting local animal species and replanting are the least we can do for nature. After all, we would be nothing without it.
